This was our first-time participation at BAUMA CONEXPO INDIA and we did with an objective to reach out to the target group customers and establish new business contacts. We were informed that it was a good exhibition to participate and justifying our decision, we received a very good response for the solution we displayed for this industry. We feel it was worth participating and we look forward to participating the next BAUMA also. Our expectation to reach out to the customers and present a local solution here has been fulfilled.

At BAUMA INDIA, along with our existing product range, we launched the ZQ900 Emergency Pull Wire Switch along with Communication Module for conveyor belt safety, specifically designed for the Indian market. We launched this new product as per our customer demand for a complete package of safety and automation solution for an easier, faster, and safer process. Our latest customised safety solution, has a pre-indication system, with which the user can diagnose the cause, avoid a miss happening and take corrective action ensure worker safety, minimise downtime and increase productivity.

Schmersal is a seven decade old company, offering its customers the largest range of safety switching appliances and systems worldwide for the protection of human life and machines under the motto of - ?Turning Workplaces into Safer Places?. When we entered Indian market almost a decade ago, the solutions needed by the Indian market were not the ones supplied globally as there was a lot of local content and adaptation required. Keeping this in mind, laying of the foundation stone for the sixth production plant of the Schmersal Group, Schmersal India Pvt Ltd, was incorporated in 2007, and we started producing safety switchgear and elevator components for the Indian market at Ranjangaon in Pune. We also have our R&D set-up based at Ranjangaon, in Pune. Schmersal is the first company, which started manufacturing safety products for material handling systems in India. Now, along with the industry specific products we have a complete solution package for material handling industry in Indian market.

India is a growing market and there is a lot of scope in terms of infrastructure. In many areas, be it construction equipment, mining or infrastructure development, we foresee there is a need for new solutions to support investment from the government. We have invested in India to serve the industry here and we are happy to see the improving avenue. With all this investment, we are positive that the market is going to boom. As the market grows, we will also grow with the market.
