IMME 2020 ends with high hopes
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised the well-established IMME series, this time as IMME 2020 virtual mining exhibition between 2 December 2020 - 1 February 2021.

India’s mining sector is witnessing significant reforms in the recent past, and these policies are expected to transition the sector, hitherto dominated by state owned enterprises, to one where large private sector companies play a greatly increasing role. Such companies operate and benchmark globally, and are amenable to adopt state of art mining technology, equipment and services (METS), evaluating solutions as a value proposition.

In this backdrop, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised the well-established IMME series, this time as IMME 2020 virtual mining exhibition between 2 December 2020 - 1 February 2021.

In this virtual exhibition, CII would allowed exhibitors in the virtual booths to present company and product information (corporate write-up and video; information sets for each product, consisting of product write up, photo, pdf brochure, and YouTube or Vimeo video link), details of booth representative contacts, chat options, enquiry submission by SMS and e-mail, video chat and meetings), and provide real time downloadable visitor analysis.

IMME 2020 showcased the latest and diverse range of mining machinery, equipment, advanced technology solutions, services and supplies from India and companies from abroad. Since its inception in 1984, IMME has been the largest mining exhibition ever in India. Almost all large brands participate in the event with a sizable outdoor display of equipment. IMME 2020 featured exhibitors from India, Australia, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Germany, Indonesia, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, UK and USA.

The exhibition bought together government policy-makers, mining professionals, technology providers, financing institutions, academia, geologists, environmentalists and consultants to discuss emerging issues and challenges being faced by the sector.

The ‘Buyer-Seller Meet’ is a key factor, where large mining companies shared their procurement plans and explored key technology and collaboration opportunities in the next two-three years.
