Construction equipment market is back with a bang
We see an immense focus on infrastructure (roads, airports, ports, smart city projects, etc) and industrial projects. These will create a robust demand for Crushing and screening plants and equipment. Raj Shrivastav, Executive in Charge - Crushing, Screening & HMAP, TIL shares more?

Which infrastructure segments drive growth for your range of equipment?
TIL offers a range of globally acclaimed crushing and screening solutions from its Kharagpur Works in West Bengal, under strategic alliance with Astec Aggregate and Mining Group, USA.

We provide solutions for the mining, quarrying, construction, demolition, and recycling industries ? offering a range of world-class jaw crushers, cone crushers, vertical shaft impact crushers and vibrating screens in track, wheeled and modular/stationary plant configurations, along with high frequency screens.

Wheeled track crushers find application mainly in the quarrying and aggregate industry, where the required capacities are small to medium.

What are the positive trends in the current market for your equipment range?
We see an immense focus on infrastructure (roads, airports, ports, smart city projects, etc) and industrial projects. These will create a robust demand for Ccrushing and screening plants and equipment. Customers demand faster deployment of plants, which has led to a rise in the demand for portable and track units with road contractors who prefer inter-site mobility. Most commercial aggregate producers still prefer to use stationary plants.

Going forward, we see an increasing demand for higher capacity plants. Increased plant availability, higher productivity and closer partnership on service levels will soon become the norm.

How do you experience the demand trend for your products in the last two years?
Over the past few years, there has been good acceptance in the market for Astec-TIL products, which has led to a positive upward trend in business. We are confident of accelerating this pace with intense focus in the market, by way of strengthening brand value, building capabilities, increasing market offerings and delivering unmatched service.

What are the new features and technologies you provide in your equipment range focusing on productivity, efficiency and economy in operations?
TIL is in close partnership with Telsmith Inc., Kolberg Pioneer Inc. (KPI), Johnson Crushers International (JCI) and Astec Mobile Screens (AMS), all of which belong to Astec Aggregate & Mining Group (AAMG). This co-operation results in the design, manufacture, marketing and service support of a range of world-class track mobile plants, wheeled portable plants, stationery plants, unit equipment manufactured at TIL?s Kharagpur works in West Bengal (viz. jaw crushers, cone crushers, vertical shaft impactors, vibrating screens and vibrating grizzly feeders) and high frequency screens (imported from AMS) for mining and quarry operations in India.

How are you gearing up to meet the expected demand growth in future?
With the revival of the infrastructure sector, the construction equipment market is back with a bang. There is a massive demand for crushing and screening equipment to provide crushed aggregates for road, airport, railways, real estate and industrial projects. Customers will demand shorter delivery times, larger capacities and high availabilities. This has already led to increased competition, with newer entrants.

Going forward, customers will also demand end-to-end solutions combined with strong customer service and support. Of course, growth of this segment will be hugely dependent on government policies. The sharp rise in demand for manufactured sand (M-sand) and plaster sand (P-sand) ? with the National Green Tribunal having banned natural sand mining in most places of India ? would further spur the demand for crushing and screening equipment. The foremost priority will be to ensure higher profitability and productivity for the customer.
