Atlas Copco buys UK air compressor supplier

Swedish industrial tool maker Atlas Copco AB said that it has acquired U.K.-based Airflow Compressors & Pneumatics Ltd (Airflow) for an undisclosed price.

Airflow is a privately-owned company and has 16 employees, serving mainly industrial and service companies active in the North West of England.

"This acquisition will enable us to increase the footprint of our brand portfolio products and to develop the business further in the industrial hubs of Liverpool and Manchester," said Vagner Rego, Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique unit president.

The purchase price is not material relative to Atlas Copco's market capitalization and the company will become part of the service division within the Compressor Technique Business Area, it said.
